The Ruth and Allen Ziegler Student Services Division
The period of a student's university years is one of growth and new horizons, but also one of transition to independent living and many accompanying social and economic pressures. In light of this, students require the necessary tools to help them integrate and cope with this new, challenging reality. The Ruth and Allen Ziegler Dean of Student Services is the main university body that caters to this pressing need - caring for the welfare of Tel Aviv University's students.
Ziegler Student Services provides assistance in all areas touching upon the lives of our students. It also provides them assistance even before they begin their official academic studies by helping them to choose the most suitable study tracks, and well afterwards, by providing advisory services and assisting graduates in finding employment.
Through its various sections, the Dean of Students provides a wide range of services to students on the personal, social and economic levels, including:
- Advice in choosing fields of study
- Diagnosis of learning disabilities
- Scholarships, loans and financial aid
- Dormitories
- Student welfare
- Services for immigrants and other population groups
- Psychological services
- Community Involvement
- Career Development
- Services for reserve soldiers
- Provision of Student ID cards
Student Hotline
In order to improve the above-mentioned service provision to TAU students, a new student hotline is now open Sunday to Thursday, from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Students who require assistance outside of these times can contact the Dean of Students by email, or by phone (03) 6408097.
