For those looking for a specific focus in their studies, we offer several specialized tracks: double major tracks in Leadership and Human Resources (together with the Labor Studies Department) and in Digital Society (in collaboration with the Communications Department). Mini-interdisciplinary tracks are offered in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and in Entrepreneurship, to enrich the departmental curriculum with innovative tools and practical applications.

Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Government, and International Affairs (dm/sm) (1031)
The information on this program is up to date 09.01.2025
In recent years, the political world has been rocked by radical transformations, forcing scholars and practitioners to confront challenges including climate change, globalization, democratic decline, big data and artificial intelligence. The BA program in political science aims to equip students with the knowledge and tools necessary to grapple with these challenges and make sense of their political ramifications. Toward that end, the program offers a wide array of academic options designed to bring the study of politics into the digital and global eras. We place a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary studies – approximately 80% of undergraduates combine political science with another field for a double-major. In addition to self-designed combinations, popular options include law and politics, politics and economics, and politics and communication. Our department offers two designated BA tracks: Government and Politics in the Digital Age; and International Relations, Diplomacy, and Security in the Global Era. Students also have the option of enrolling in EU (European Union) Diploma Studies that can later be recognized as academic courses for a master's degree at Tel Aviv University. While keeping our focus on the political challenges and opportunities created by technology, we offer students the option of adding an interdisciplinary designated emphasis in artificial intelligence and data science. These programs provide students with advanced tools and technologies required for the study of politics, but they also invite students to critically analyze technology’s far-reaching political implications. Finally, the department has expanded student options by opening an academic track that allows excellent students to complete both the BA and MA degrees in four years.
